Where to find us…

We are operating at Crescent Park inside of the Seabrook Community. We have a shipping container office with changing area, 2 wood burning saunas and we’re close to the pool. Just follow the smell of the fires :) We think it’s pretty easy to find but if you have any trouble, shoot us a text. 360 210 6155.

You’ll have to sign the liability waiver before you can start your spa session. Save yourself the headache and sign it online, here.

Bring a swimsuit, 2 towels, slip on shoes and a water bottle. Our space is limited but we have changing stalls and some baskets to stash your stuff. Please leave your valuables at home. We have a few locks but are pretty limited on space.

When you arrive please check in with a staff member area in the office before starting your spa session.

In your 90 minute session you will have access to our wood burning saunas, cold plunge tubs, changing area and outdoor patio area. If you’re a guest staying at Seabrook, you already have a code to get into the Crescent Pool for hot tub use, restrooms and additional showers. If you’re a day pass user, you'll have access to the restroom.

We don’t allow any alcohol or drugs in our space.

FAQ

How hot are your saunas?

We love our wood burning saunas because we are able to get them hotter than a typical electric or propane heater . Expect temperatures to be in the 170-220 range. Keep in mind that temperatures are tricky for us to keep constant. Different types of wood, moisture levels and other elements can give us a run for our money. We are humans tending to a fire so please understand we are doing our best!

How cold are your cold plunge tubs?

We like to keep our cold plunge tubs in the 40-55 degree range. We aren’t going for extreme pain cold plunges.  Instead, we aim to shock your nervous system with about 30 seconds of being uncomfortable. We have assisted thousands of newbies in this process and we try our best to keep our cold plunges at just the right level of suck.

90 minutes seems like a lot of time? What will my session look like?

Expect your session to go a little like this…

Arrive, check in and change—10-15 minutes

Actual spa time- 60 minutes

Spa sessions typically consist of 2-3 thermal cycles.

One thermal cycle is

10-15 minutes in a sauna

1-3 minutes in a cold plunge

5-10 minutes of rest

Repeat

Your first cold plunge is always the most challenging, but by the time you have finished your 3rd cycle you will be feeling fantastic. Give yourself about 15 minutes to shower and get changed.

Bam. 90 minutes just flew by.

You’ll get yourself all cleaned up and walk home feeling refreshed and relaxed! Leave us a review and tell your friends! You guys rock.

I’ve NEVER tried a cold plunge and I’m very nervous…

I get it, trying something like this seems a little crazy. You might think all the social media hype is exaggerated or maybe your friend signed you up without your knowledge and there is just no way you will ever get into a cold plunge.

We’ve heard it all before.

The skeptics are our favorites.

But guess what? We have helped guide over 5,000 customers through this process for the first time. Our goal is for you to be successful in whatever way that looks. 10 minutes in 32 degree water, (whoa dude) or maybe it’s just 15 seconds in 60 degree water. Everyone is different. We understand that this process is new and slightly uncomfortable for a lot of people. We do our very best to be patient and encouraging! We want you to leave feeling like you can take on the world.

Why is this good for me?

Let’s start with the benefits of cold plunges. I’m not a scientist, but I am a thinker and bonafide observer. I wanted to share a culmination of my thoughts and what I’ve seen first hand over in customer testimonials. To clarify, when I say ‘cold plunging’ I don’t mean like a quick dip. I mean, taking at least 60 seconds to slow your breathing and to get over the hump of fight or flight. If you do a quick get in and get out, you haven’t felt the magic.

Here are the basics…Cold plunging will give you a huge boost of the feel good chemicals serotonin and dopamine. Research is starting to show it’s the same boost that you’d get with cocaine but arguably better for you. 😂 plus it’s longer lasting. Some users have said they feel overall more peaceful and calm for 48 hours after a session. This is easily google verified.

My best friend told me that the cold plunge is the only place that her brain stops. Her brain can be full of worry and racing thoughts throughout the day and then once she gets in the cold plunge it shuts up. The only place it stops… that’s cool.

For me, I seem to have an increase of mental clarity and problem solving euphoria after every spa session. It’s like Aha! Moments. Maybe it’s because the cold is sending an increase of blood to my brain? Maybe it’s because I’m giving myself permission to be still and to think through things that might cause anxiety, therefore stopping my worry thoughts?

By intentionally putting yourself in the cold, you are teaching your brain that you can handle stress! I read somewhere once that it actually creates new pathways in your brain. Your body and mind learn how to survive the stress and Bada-bing! You create resiliency. You encourage grit! You become kind of a bad ass. But like a nice happy bad ass because you have all those happy chemicals.

Now let’s talk about Sauna use.

There is a lot of research coming out about how hugely beneficial Finnish sauna bathing is for longevity. I think it would be better to leave it to the experts. I found this article hugely helpful with lots of links to their references. Go ahead, geek out a little bit. Then tell us what you learned :)  Mayo Clinic Article.

This is such an interesting business? Can you tell us how you started?

Our main location, Connect Wellness, was started in the fall of 2021 by me, Michelle. I had my first cold plunge experience in 2017 and I got hooked. I remember saying ‘why isn’t this everywhere?!’ I felt so much better afterwards! I started visiting spas and hot springs as much as I could. I observed incredibly positive environments everywhere I went, I was determined to open my own spa in SW Washington.

I come from a family of entrepreneurs and out of the box thinkers. When Covid was winding down, I decided to take a risk and opened up my backyard spa to strangers. In about 6 months, I added my first mobile sauna doubling our capacity. Then it just kind of snowballed.

I watched in amazement as people found the same level of excitement that I had.

Their pain was decreased.

They slept better.

They had mental clarity, a decrease in anxiety symptoms and an improved mood for days after a session.

They told their friends. They came back again and again. They became members.

We are at the very early stages of what I think is a sauna+cold plunge boom in the U.S. Connect Wellness is on the fore front of this boom and we are very excited you are here to watch us grow!

Anything else?

We could literally talk hours about this but at some point we all need to move on with our lives. We hope we answered your questions but in case we didn’t, shoot us a text or ask us in person during your session :)

Thanks so much for supporting our small business!
